On Twitter? This is for YOU!

Have a Twitter account? Even an old one you no longer use? We have two Twitter communities made just for you.

One commnuity is English language focused, one German laguage focused.

No matter how you currently use Twitter: to follow your favourite, topics, brands, sports teams or celebraties there has previously only been one audience for your tweets ... your followers.  It's not been possible to tweet to a different audience. That's where Twitter new communities come in. We have used this beta feature to create two "local" communities: 

The "Cologne" Twitter community is an invite / ask-to-join community. We're hoping to gather as many of Cologne's Tweeting residents in there who like tweeting in English. 

The German language "Köln" community is an opencommunity for Cologne residents preferring to Tweet in German. 

Both are new and need more members. If you are a Twitter user based in or near Cologne please join one or both.

Why join?

Well as the community membership grows you can continue Tweeting to your followers as normal, but after joining you'll have a new option: to tweet about local topics to local people. 

Even though your current use of Twitter maybe purely "professional" your community tweets do not show on your Twitter profile and can only be replied to or liked by other community members, so you can continue your shirt-and-tie use of Twitter, just with new options to share local content, reply and engage with other local Twitter users. 

 

 So, whether you are a Twitter power user or have a dusty old account which hasn't tweeted in years; if you're a Cologne based Twitter user please join the Cologne or Köln Twitter community. Let's have some fun together!
