Why we created a PRIVATE Telegram group

We have a public Telegram group which because it's public, get's a lot of spam. That in itself isn't so much of an issue there are ways for you to turn down the noise, but we have less control over bad actors using the public group as a gateway to reach, spam or abuse other group members.

Some members are OK with blocking these users when it happens, but some group members find it disturbing; so we've created a PRIVATE group just for "verified members".

Anyone (verified) is welcome in our private group. By "verified" we mean a real person living in Cologne who we've personally met and is interested in connecting, networking and meeting the wider English Cologne community.
