Artist persona Shirley Not - Atelier mobile - travelin‘ theatre

Yesterday evening, after some exchanges with Douglas Bateman in our Telegram group, we took an evening stroll to Poller Wiesen to see: "It took my breath away - About COVID? No it’s Shirley Not!"

 

 

In the show Douglas, a British dancer living in Cologne uses; modern dance, performance theatre, music and light to pose the question: "What if skin colour and gender didn't play a role?"

 

We were lucky with the weather, some previous shows had been rained off. The sun set and bats darted here and there in the warm air.

 

Social distanced rules meant that the audience seating was spread out; each person was given headphones which made for an intimate auditory experience accompanying the movement and light.
